Anna Maria Island 4th of July Parade 2027

The Anna Maria Island Privateers' Fourth of July parade, billed as the southeast's biggest water fight, has set off from Coquina Beach in recent years. What we know about 2027, island fireworks, and a July 4th week at our Holmes Beach cottage.

About

The Anna Maria Island Privateers, a local nonprofit, put on the island's Fourth of July parade. In 2026 it set off from Coquina Beach in Bradenton Beach at about 10:15 a.m., wound north through Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach and Anna Maria for about two hours, and ended at Bayfront Park at the north end of the island, the Anna Maria Island Sun reported.

The 2025 parade did not happen: the Privateers called it off the day before, citing the threat of severe thunderstorms and flooding.

Plan to get wet. In 2026 spectators lined the route in all three island cities with water guns, and the Privateers' 2025 listing asked spectators not to throw water balloons or use high-pressure water nozzles or guns on parade participants.

We add this year's start time and route here once the Privateers announce them.

Fireworks: we have not found an official fireworks show on the island itself to list. We will add confirmed displays for this year once they are announced.

  • Every stay is at least 7 nights. The checkout shows the itemised total before you pay.
  • Online bookings in some weeks need a Saturday check-in; check-out can be any day, as long as the stay is at least 7 nights. For another arrival day, call the office at 941-778-1979.
  • Pool heat is added to online bookings by default ($150 for a one-week stay; the office adjusts it for longer stays). You can decline it - just ask the office.
  • Bringing your dog (one dog up to 35 lb)? The $150 per week pet fee is charged at booking.
