Fourth of July Week 2027 in Holmes Beach, Anna Maria Island
July 4th is one of the busiest days on Anna Maria Island. The easy way to enjoy it is to arrive days before, park once, and spend the holiday on foot: the beach is one house from the cottage, with no road to cross.

Booked: the week of Fourth of July is not open for a 7-night stay on the live calendar. The nearest open windows are Jul 12-24, 2027 and Aug 7-14, 2027.
In this rate period, the online booking needs a Saturday check-in; check-out can be any day, as long as the stay is at least 7 nights. For another arrival day, call the BeachRentals.Mobi office at 941-778-1979.
The parade and the 2027 plans
The island's Fourth of July parade is run by the Anna Maria Island Privateers. In 2026 it set off from Coquina Beach at about 10:15 AM and wound north through Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach and Anna Maria to Bayfront Park, the Anna Maria Island Sun reported. The 2025 parade was called off the day before because of the threat of severe storms. Parade entries and spectators trade water, so expect to get wet.
The 2027 route, start time and fireworks plans are not announced yet. We add them to our Fourth of July event page once the organizers confirm them, so check there before you plan the day.
Booking the week of the Fourth
Every stay is at least 7 nights, booked through the cottage's manager, BeachRentals.Mobi. Their online quote itemises the rent, fees and taxes for your dates, and adds pool heat by default ($150 for one week; the office adjusts it for longer stays). You can decline it - just ask the office.
If your dog is coming, the $150 per week pet fee is charged at booking.
Beach rules, quiet hours and your dog
Alcohol, glass, fires and grills are not allowed on Holmes Beach public beaches (City Code Sec. 66-32 to 66-34), so keep the cooler and the grill at the house.
Holmes Beach quiet hours run from 10 PM to 7 AM, and the cottage hosts no parties or events: it is a home for up to 6 guests.
Dogs are not allowed on Holmes Beach beaches, and many dogs find fireworks stressful. Plan an early evening walk, then keep your dog inside with the air conditioning on.

Timing and open dates
For Fourth of July, start watching open dates about a year ahead, as soon as the manager's calendar opens.
Every stay is at least 7 nights, with check-in at 4 PM and checkout at 10 AM, so choose a week that includes July 4.
Sample holiday rhythm
- -Arrival day: check in at 4 PM, stock the kitchen, and walk to the beach for sunset.
- -The days before the Fourth: beach mornings, pool afternoons, and a trolley ride to Pine Avenue or Bridge Street before the holiday crowds.
- -July 4th: watch the parade, then spend the hot part of the day in the pool and the evening on the side deck.
- -The days after: quieter beaches, a dinner out, and a slow last morning before the 10 AM checkout.
Local tips
Head to the beach early for a calm morning. It is one house away, so there is no parking to find.
The side deck has a partial Gulf view and is a good spot for sunset.
Use the pool as a midday escape from the July heat.
