Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival

The Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival is one of the longest running annual events in the Anna Maria Island area, held each February in the historic Cortez fishing village. This waterfront celebration honors the heritage of one of Florida's last working commercial fishing communities. Visitors can sample fresh local seafood such as mullet, stone crab, and grouper, browse marine and nautical arts and crafts, watch net making and boat building demonstrations, and enjoy live folk and bluegrass music.
